Smithfield, R.I. - Robert Morris University women's lacrosse landed three student-athletes on the Northeast Conference First Team, as midfielder

Shannon Lynch and defender
Kelly Colegrove each earned a spot.Â
For Lynch and Colegrove, this marks their first all-conference selections. For Davis, it's four-for-four, as she earned all-rookie team as a freshman, second team as a sophomore, first team as a junior, finishing her Colonials career with back to back first team honors.

Davis, a senior from Garnet Valley, Pa., leads the Colonials midfield, recording 29 ground balls, 45 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers, to go with her 20 goals and 5 assists this season. Davis is among the NCAA's active career leaders in ground balls (6th, 183), ground balls per game (15th, 2.73), caused turnovers (11
th, 96) and caused turnovers per game (31st, 1.43).Â
This season, Davis became RMU's all-time ground balls leader with 183. Davis is sixth in points (133) and goals (102) in the RMU record books, third all-time in draw controls (140) and second all-time in caused turnovers (96). Davis was recently named a Presidential Scholar-Athlete at the Robert Morris Athletics banquet, with a 3.91 GPA in Nursing.
Lynch rocketed to the top of the Colonials scoring charts during conference play, finishing strong with 15 points in the final weekend of the regular season. In RMU's 18-8 victory over LIU Brooklyn to close the NEC slate, Lynch tallied a goal and 8 assists to set a new RMU single-game assists record, factoring in on half of the Colonials goals.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lynch leads RMU in scoring with 23 goals and 23 assists for 46 points, also collected 17 ground balls and has scored two game-winning goals this season.
Colegrove proved she belongs on the first team with her consistent performance on the defensive side of the ball. Colegrove ranks first in the NEC, averaging 2.00 caused turnovers per game, 18th overall in the NCAA. The Marriottsville, Md. native leads Robert Morris with 34 caused turnovers and is second in ground balls with 31, also recording three draw controls and scoring a goal.
Colegrove has helped the Colonials to second place in the NEC in caused turnovers, averaging 10.65 per game, ranking 15th in the NCAA. RMU leads the NEC in ground balls as a team, ranked third overall in the NCAA, averaging 23.88 per game. Colegrove's net-front presence supports goalkeeper
Katelyn Miller in recording a 9.36 goals against average, second best in the NEC and 11th in the NCAA.
Davis and junior
Katelyn Welch were recognized by the NEC on the Commissioner's Honor Roll for posting GPA's above 3.75 in the 2017 season.
Robert Morris (9-8, 5-2 NEC) finished in third place in the NEC and is the three-seed entering this week's conference tournament. The Colonials will face No. 2 Wagner in the semifinal on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. on the campus of Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for Youth and Senior Citizens, purchased at the gate on game day.
