Moon Township, Pa. – A total of 26 student-athletes from the
Robert Morris University rowing team were named to the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll Tuesday.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale, and freshmen are eligible for the honor roll. A total of 2,401 student-athletes were honored by the MAAC, covering 24 sports and including both full-time and associate members.
The Colonials are an associate member of the conference in rowing, and finished third among associate members, trailing only Sacred Heart (40) and Detroit Mercy (28).
Senior
Lindsay Feltz, who was honored with the highest grade point average by a senior female student-athlete at the 24th annual RMU All-Sports Banquet at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport in April, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems in May with a 3.99 cumulative GPA.
A total of four rookies for Robert Morris posted perfect 4.00 GPA's in their first year in college, including
Madelyn Green,
Rachel Gress,
Nicole Kristof and
Molly McGuire. Gress and McGuire are each biology majors, Green studies nursing and Kristof is a sport management and marketing major.
A total of 14 student-athletes for the RMU rowing team have posted GPA's of 3.75 or higher. Included among that group is sophomore
Kestra Harris, a media arts major with a 3.92 GPA. Freshmen
Mia Krolczyk and
Danielle Smith each posted 3.98 GPA's in their first year in college, with Krolczyk an engineering major and Smith studying environmental science.
