Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University cross country team returned to action Saturday by finishing ninth at the Carnegie Mellon Hampton Inn Pittsburgh University/Medical Center Invitational, held at Schenley Park.
The Colonials finished with 197 points and were paced by junior
Martha Gardner, who navigated the five kilometer course with a time of 19:52.01 to finish 13th.

Gardner was one of two student-athletes from RMU to finish in the top 30 in a field that featured 133 harriers.
Tara Richardson clocked in with a time of 20:26.55 to finish 29th as well as establish a personal record.
Rounding out the top seven for Robert Morris was sophomores
Laura Lintelman and
Alexis Mullarkey, junior
Nina Radisavljevic and freshmen
Alannah Barton and Julianna Robinson.
Lintelman, like Richardson, recorded a personal record with a time of 20:47.05 to finish 37th. Mullarkey crossed the finish line with a time of 21:11.30, while Radisavljevic posted a time of 21:33.10.

Rookies Barton and Robinson registered times of 21:46.72 and 22:38.45, respectively.
Robert Morris gets back on the course Saturday, Oct. 19, by traveling to Buffalo, N.Y., to take part in the Canisius Alumni Classic. The meet starts at Noon and is the final competition prior to the 2019 Northeast Conference Championships Saturday, Nov. 2, in New Britain, Conn.
