Moon Township, Pa. – In its final tournament of the 2019 fall season, the
Robert Morris University golf team sits in first place after the first round of the Towson Fall Invitational, held at Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md.
The Colonials carded a score of 289 in round one, just one over par and two strokes ahead of Youngstown State (291). A total of seven strokes separates second and sixth place after the first round, as Fairleigh Dickinson (292), Towson (296) and North Carolina A&T (297) round out the top five.

Fairfield (298) sits one stroke behind the Aggies, while Manhattan (301) is three strokes behind the Stags. Long Island (308) and Hampton (317) round out the field.
Individually, senior
Max Palmer sits in first place after firing a 68 in the first round of the Towson Fall Invitational, which is four strokes under par. Palmer has a one stroke lead over his teammate,
Kyle Grube, and Kevin Scherr of Youngstown State, who each carded a 69.
Chase Miller sits 20th individually for Robert Morris after posting a 75 Saturday, while Nick Mihalo finished two strokes behind Miller with a 77.
Josh Nagy rounded out the five golfers for RMU Saturday, as he finished the first round with an 83.

Jimmy Ellis, who scored an 85 in the first round Saturday. He'll tee off for the Colonials at 8:57 a.m. tomorrow morning from hole No. 10. Nagy will follow at 9:15 a.m. from the first tee.
