MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Four members of the 2019
Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team made the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, with the entire team also earning the Academic Squad designation.
Graduated seniors
Katelyn Welch and
Kerri Sayrafe joined junior
Clio Kerr and sophomore
Madison Burke on the IWLCA's annual Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who are able to maintain a 3.5 grade-point average or higher. Welch (biology) and Sayrafe (nursing) earned their RMU degrees this spring, while Kerr is working toward her bachelor's in biology and Burke is majoring in business.
Additionally, the Colonials as a group were recognized by the IWLCA for posting a collective 3.0 GPA during the 2018-19 season. Head coach
Katrina Silva's team was named an IWLCA Academic Squad after its 26 players (counting student manager Welch) averaged a 3.37 GPA.
RMU just completed its 15th Division I season with a program-record 12 wins and a sixth consecutive trip to the Northeast Conference tournament. The Colonials are 20-6 in the NEC over the past four seasons and are a combined 19 games over .500 since the start of the 2014 season.
