Moon Township, Pa. – According to a poll of Northeast Conference head coaches, the
Robert Morris University cross country team has been picked to finish sixth in the Northeast Conference (NEC) in 2019.
Selected as the preseason favorite in 2019 is Central Connecticut, which earned six first-place votes. Finishing second in the poll is Saint Francis U, which earned a trio of first-place tallies, followed by 2018 champion Sacred Heart, which garnered two first-place votes.
Mount St. Mary's was selected fourth and Wagner fifth, and following the Colonials in the poll is Merrimack, Bryant, Fairleigh Dickinson, Long Island and St. Francis Brooklyn.
Under the guidance of Caitlin Cotter, leading the way for RMU in 2019 will be juniors
Sami Felton and
Martha Gardner. In addition, juniors
Jordan Redinger and
Tara Richardson and sophomores
Laura Lintelman and
Alexis Mullarkey will help strengthen Robert Morris.
Robert Morris will christen its 2019 campaign Friday, August 30, with the Blast Furnace Open, which is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
