RMU Continues Season at Tommy Evans Invite

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University cross country team continued its 2019 campaign Saturday by finishing ninth at the Tommy Evans Invitational, which was hosted by the University of Akron.

The host Zips claimed the team championship with 45 points. The top five included Ohio (63), Walsh (70), Youngstown State (95) and Malone (117).

The top harrier for the Colonials was junior Martha Gardner, who posted a time of 20:26 in the five-kilometer race. Fellow classmate Tara Richardson crossed the finish line with a time of 20:50.5, while sophomore Laura Lintelman navigated the course in 21:32.4.

Also competing for Robert Morris were rookies Julianna Robinson and Alannah Barton and seniors Nina Radisavljevic and Alyssa Alberghini.

Robinson recorded a time of 22:04.3, while Barton finished at 22:29.9. Radisavljevic recorded a time of 22:56.3 and Alberghini crossed the finish line at 23:07.9.

Robert Morris next gears up for the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Schenley Park.
