Robert Morris Joins Forces With Athlete Network

Company keeps athletes competing in ecosystem built for athletes by athletes

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University Department of Athletics announced Tuesday a partnership with Athlete Network, the No. 1 engagement platform for current and alumni student-athletes.

The partnership will launch the Robert Morris Athlete Network, a branded and customized technology platform to organize, promote and track the programs and services offered to all current and former student-athletes.

"The addition of the Robert Morris Athlete Network is a monumental step in terms of support for our student-athletes," RMU Vice President & Director of Athletics Chris King said. "It will connect both alumni and current Colonials with potential employers while serving as a vehicle to increase their engagement with the campus community. Athlete Network has a proven track record, and we're proud to bring it to the Robert Morris family."

The first Northeast Conference athletic department to select Athlete Network to power its customized network, the technology solution provides cutting edge data insights and reporting to athletic administrators, enhances the letterwinners club and offers a robust mentoring program for all generations of RMU student-athletes past, present and future.

"Robert Morris values keeping their current and former student-athletes involved and engaged with the program, and they are committed to advancing support for their athletes during the transition to the workforce," Athlete Network Vice President of Partnerships Brett Fuller said. "Through our Unite software, their team will not only increase visibility and engagement with available resources, such as career advancement opportunities, but also use data analytics to track utilization, ensuring effective communication and engagement is maintained with their athletes for life."

From its fertile beginning as a men's basketball junior college powerhouse to one of the most diverse athletic programs in the Pittsburgh tri-state area, RMU offers 16 intercollegiate athletic programs, including the only men's and women's NCAA Division I hockey teams and men's lacrosse team in the region. Over the last 44 years, the Colonials have claimed 50 conference regular-season championships and 51 league tournament titles.

"The Robert Morris Athlete Network provides us with a platform that all of our student-athletes are going to love," RMU Senior Associate Athletic Director Marty Galosi said. "We are in the business of developing young people to become productive adults, and there is no more effective way based upon our mission than to assist them in the job search process while keeping them engaged with the Colonials forever."
