RMU Faces Wright State, IUPUI

LAST TIME OUT

The Colonials fell 2-0 at UIC Thursday and 3-0 at home against Oakland Sunday, surrendering two first half goals to the Golden Grizzlies.

TEAM LEADERS  

Finale remains the RMU scoring leader with 16 points (5G, 6A). She continues to pace RMU in all three major offensive categories, while Kayla Veloso-Lima ranks second with three goals. Gabriella Lecuona, Veloso-Lima, and Hayashi sit in a three-way tie for second in scoring with seven points a piece.

In goal, Courtney Worstell and Isabella Bohlen have split duty this season, with Bohlen the owner of a 3-4-2 record including a clean sheet against Canisius earlier this season.

STATS TO KNOW

Robert Morris has kept opposing goalkeepers under fire for much of the 2021 campaign, currently ranking second in the Horizon League in total shots at 207 and second in shots per game at 13.80  behind only Milwaukee. As a squad, RMU has out shot their opponents in ten of sixteen games in 2021. 

Finale's performance as RMU's offensive engine has put her amongst the conference elite heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The sophomore ranks near the top of the league in nearly every major offensive category including first in shots per-game (3.33), T-4th in goals (five), T-3rd in assists (six) and T-5th in total points (16).

Hayashi also ranks eighth in shots per-game at 2.42.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS

Wright State sits at 2-3-2 in Horizon League play this season, and is trying to snap a two-game skid after losses to Purdue Fort Wayne and Detroit Mercy.

Preseason picks to finish seventh overall in 2021, WSU was on a four-game unbeaten streak prior to the two most recent losses, earning draws against Youngstown State and Green Bay and wins over IUPUI and Cleveland State.

Graduate mid Destiny Johnson leads them with four goals this season.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS

IUPUI recently snapped a four-game conference skid with a 1-0 victory at Detroit Mercy last Sunday and are set to play Green Bay Thursday night before rolling into Moon Township Sunday afternoon.

Senior mid Elizabeth Bueckers has been the Jags offensive leader in 2021, the teams' leader with six goals and 13 points.

The Colonials will also have to contend with IUPUI keeper AP Woodall, who currently leads the Horizon League in total saves.
