LAST TIME OUT
RMU dropped a 3-2 decision to Northern Kentucky Saturday the the NAC. While Haleigh Finale and Kaoru Hayashi each scored in the final seven minutes, a three-goal deficit proved too steep a hill to climb for the Colonials in the loss.
TEAM LEADERS
Another goal for Finale against NKU brings her team-leading point total to 16 (5G, 6A). She continues to pace RMU in all three major offensive categories, while Kayla Veloso-Lima ranks second with three goals. Gabriella Lecuona's, Veloso-Lima, and Hayashi sit in a three-way tie for second in scoring with seven points a piece.
In goal, Courtney Worstell and Isabella Bohlen have split duty this season, with Bohlen the owner of a 3-2-2 record including a clean sheet against Canisius earlier this season.
STATS TO KNOW
Robert Morris has kept opposing goalkeepers under fire for much of the 2021 campaign, currently ranking second in the Horizon League in total shots at 189 and second in shots per game at 14.54 behind only Milwaukee. As a squad, RMU has out shot their opponents in ten of fourteen games in 2021.
Finale's performance as RMU's offensive engine has put her amongst the conference elite heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The sophomore ranks near the top of the league in nearly every major offensive category including first in shots per-game (3.46), T-4th in goals (five), second in assists (six) and third in total points (16).
Lecuona also ranks eighth in shots per-game at 2.60 and tied for fourth overall in assists.
SCOUTING THE FLAMES
At 0-8-3 on the season, UIC is still searching for its first win of the season, though they are riding a two-game unbeaten streak after back-to-back draws against Green Bay and Youngstown State 2-2 and 0-0.
The Flames have scored just three goals all season, two of which have come from R-Jr. midfielder Megan Bowman.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
Oakland is unbeaten in conference play so far at 4-0-1, and is coming off of a 2-1 win against IUPUI last Saturday.
Preseason picked to finish third overall, the Golden Grizzlies boast arguably the most explosive offense in the league featuring nine different goal scorers this season, led by senior Alexa Sabbagh with five.
