Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU women's track & field team announced its 2021-22 indoor schedule Tuesday, which features seven competitions as part of the regular season.
The Colonials open their first full indoor campaign in two years Friday, Dec. 3, with the YSU Icebreaker at the Watts and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) in Youngstown, Ohio.
The opener for RMU marks one of three trips to Youngstown State during the 2021-22 indoor season. The Colonials will also take part in the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational Friday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 29, while the 2022 Horizon League Indoor Championships are hosted by the Penguins Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27.

Also as part of RMU's 2021-22 indoor slate are visits to Penn State (1/15/22), Bucknell (1/22/22), Denison (2/5/22) and a pair of trips to Kent State, one for the Doug Raymond National Qualifier Saturday, Feb. 12, as well as the Kent State Tune Up Saturday, Feb. 19.

Bryan Delsite, who is in his second season leading the Colonials, RMU returns a pair of student-athletes that earned #HLTF indoor championships last year. Graduate student
Keturah Hunter claimed the 2021 individual title in the weight throw with a toss of 18.77 meters, a school record, while fellow grad student
Estelle Katende is the reigning #HLTF indoor champion in the shot put with a throw of 14.64 meters.
The Colonials will also be bolstered by the return of grad student
Yessie Valencia, who earned silver in the weight throw last season, and junior
Elicia Moore, who finished second in the 400-meter dash.
