Moon Township, Pa. – The 2022 season opener at Ohio State, non-conference home games with Canisius and Cincinnati and a full slate of Mid-American Conference (MAC) games highlights the 2022 RMU women's lacrosse schedule released Tuesday.
The Colonials will open their 2022 campaign Saturday, Feb. 12, at Ohio State. A week later, RMU welcomes Canisius for its home opener Saturday, Feb. 19, with a Noon faceoff at Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials will also host Cincinnati Sunday, March 27, as part of their 2022 non-conference schedule while also traveling to Bucknell (2/26), Liberty (3/5) and UMBC (3/19).
The defending MAC regular-season champion and NCAA Tournament qualifier opens its league slate at Joe Walton Stadium Wednesday, March 23, at 1:00 p.m. against Detroit Mercy. RMU will also host Central Michigan (3/16), Kent State (4/9), Akron (4/16) and Youngstown State (4/30) during its conference home slate. The 2022 MAC Championships are slated for Friday, May 5, and Sunday, May 7, at the site of the regular-season champion.

RMU posted an overall record of 14-3 (.824) in 2021, including a perfect 10-0 mark in its first season in the MAC, under head coach
Katrina Silva, who enters her fifth year at the helm of the Colonials in 2021. Silva was named the 2021 MAC Coach of the Year after helping RMU claim its first automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament in program history.

Individual tickets will also be on sale, with prices that include $8.00 for adult general admission, $5.00 for kids, seniors ages 65 and over and RMU faculty and staff. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at $4.00 each.
