Moon Township, Pa. – RMU Associate Athletic Director for Development
TJ Brown has been selected to attend TopConnect AD, a leadership symposium for aspiring NCAA Division I athletic directors.
It marks the second consecutive year a member of the RMU staff within the athletic department has been chosen to attend the symposium, joining Deputy Director of Athletics
Chelsea Blakely, who attended in 2020.
The second annual symposium hosted by TopConnect, a subsidiary of Connected Media, LLC, is headlined by Jeremy Foley, Athletics Director Emeritus at the University of Florida.
Brown, a 2010 graduate of RMU with a BSBA in finance and sport management, has spent the past eight years with the Colonials in a variety of roles, including development officer, athletic development specialist and director of athletic development. In 2019 he was named Associate Athletic Director for Development and has spent the last two years in the role.
Also earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at RMU in 2015, Brown began his career with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2010. He also served two years as a senior ticket sales account executive with the Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2011 to 2013.
