Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU men's golf program saw two of its student-athletes recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as Srixon / Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, as recent graduate Kyle Grube and rising senior Chase Miller were both bestowed with the honor this past Friday.

Grube, a native of Indiana, Pa., becomes the first three-time GCAA All-America Scholar in program history. He finished his career ranked fourth all-time at RMU in rounds par and under (10) and sixth in stroke average (75.97), and owns the second lowest single-season stroke average in school history at 73.50 during the shortened 2019-20 campaign. In his final collegiate season, Grube finished second on the team in stroke average (77.1) and collected an eighth-place finish at the Mountaineer Invitational. He garnered both All-Northeast Conference (NEC) First Team and NEC All-Tournament Team honors in 2019.

A management and hospitality and tourism double major, Grube graduated with a 3.72 cumulative GPA and was named the RMU Male Presidential Scholar-Athlete in 2019-20. He made both the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls in 2021, collected four consecutive NEC Academic Honor Roll designations from 2017-20, and appeared on the 2018 NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Miller, hailing from Bernville, Pa., earns his second straight GCAA All-America Scholar nod after becoming the first sophomore in program history to do so in 2019-20. He enters his senior season ranked fifth all-time at RMU in career stroke average (75.94) and 11th in rounds par and under (7). Miller collected Team MVP accolades this season after leading the team in stroke average (75.5), top-five finishes (1), and top-10 finishes (3). He earned a runner-up finish at the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational, and placed 10th at the Horizon League Championships.

Carrying a 3.30 cumulative GPA as a finance major, Miller is believed to be the only player in program history to win his collegiate debut tournament, as he accomplished the feat at the 2018 Northern Kentucky Fall Collegiate Classic. He is the fourth golf student-athlete to twice be named an All-America Scholar, joining the aforementioned Grube (2019, 2020, 2021), C.G. Mercatoris (2010, 2011), and Max Palmer (2019, 2020). Miller made the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls this year, and qualified for the NEC Academic Honor Roll in 2020.

Under 21st-year head coach Jerry Stone, RMU has won 23 competitions and made a pair of NCAA Regionals in 2015 and 2019. The Colonials finished fifth in their debut Horizon League campaign in 2020-21, and will return 11 student-athletes in 2021-22.
