Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

RMU's Win Streak Ends at Utah

A hot start by Utah hands Robert Morris their first loss of ASUN play.

The Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team's win-streak ended on Saturday with a 18-8 loss to the Utah Utes at Rice-Eccless Stadium in Salt Lake City. The loss moves RMU to 6-5 on the season and hands them their first loss in conference play.

MOMENTS THAT MATTER
Utah wasted no time getting on the board. The Utes managed to register six-goals before RMU was able to score three goals to cut the game in half off the sticks of Taggart Clark, Will Johansen and Dan Taddeo. However, the three-goal deficit did not last long, as the Utes came back with three more goals of their own before the half.

The Colonials showed glimmers of hope throughout the third-quarter when Eric Swagerty scored back-to-back goals to cut the Utah lead in half, once again. Taddeo added his second of the game at the 9:55 mark of the third-quarter to bring the Colonials to their closest deficit of the game, trailing 10-6.

However, the Utes went on a six-goal run in the final quarter of the game to seal their fate as the only remaining undefeated team in the ASUN.

CAREER-HIGH
Sophomore Eric Swagerty tied his career-high with three points against Utah. The Fairfax Station native scored two goals in the second quarter while adding a helper to Torin Neal's goal at the end of the fourth.

KEAL-ING IT
Corson Kealey is now riding a 20-game scoring streak, dating back to the beginning of the 2021 season. The graduate student scored at the 3:53 mark of the third-quarter to extend his streak.
