In a vote of head coaches, fifth-year senior, Madison Griffin, and senior goalkeeper, Jamie Keller of the RMU women's lacrosse team was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year and MAC Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively. Griffin and Keller were two of the six Colonials that brought in all-conference honors this season.

Defensive POY Griffin played 14 games started for the Colonials this season due to a late-season injury. The fifth-year senior has posted a league-high 3.62 ground balls per game, which ranks her second in the nation in that category. Additionally, she ranks fifth in the nation in CTO per game, leaving her 0.87 CTOs over her next closest competitor. On top of her Defensive Player of the Year title, Griffin earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team.

Joining her teammate on the All-MAC First Team, Goalkeeper of the Year, Jamie Keller, started in net for all 16 games of the 2022 season. In her first year as a starting keeper, she is holding a .503 save percentage in MAC play, and ranks 2nd in the MAC in SV%, saves, and saves per game. In conference only games, Keller has held her own and owns the top spot in both GAA and saves per game. Jamie was named defensive player of the week three times this season, all resulting from games against conference foes.

Freshman Jenna Irwin also managed to earn All-MAC First Team honors. In 16 starts this season, the freshman leads the Colonials offense with 34 goals. Specifically, Irwin has been dangerous on the free-position, scoring 13 of her 16 shots and going 10-11 in MAC play. This gives Irwin the top free-position percentage in the nation.  Additionally, she ranks 24th in the nation in terms of shot percentage with a .557.

Additionally, juniors Colleen Tifft, Jordan Anderson and Jerica Obee all made it on the All-MAC Second-Team.
Starting in all 16 games for RMU this season, Colleen Tifft is tied for second on her team in goals, scoring 25 goals on the season and putting up 6 assists for a total of 31 points. A true two-way midfielder, the junior has also been a force on the defensive end, grabbing 15 ground balls, forcing 13 turnovers, and winning 11 draw controls.

Jordan Anderson has made a name for herself in the draw circle, winning 81 draws in the 2022 season, ranking her 46th in the nation and second in the MAC in DC per game. In addition to her success in the circle, Anderson has scored 15 goals and accumulated 20 points for the Colonials this season. She has also managed to snag 20 ground balls, and cause 9 turnovers.

Transfer student Jerica Obee led the Colonials offense in the 2022 season, scoring 25 goals and contributing a team-high 15 assists to lead the team with 40 points. Defensively, Obee is very active in the re-defend, and has collected 16 GB and caused 5 turnovers.

The Colonials travel to Mount Pleasant, Michigan on May 5th, when they face Youngstown State in the semifinal round of the 2022 MAC Women's Lacrosse Championships.
