- The RMU volleyball team opens Horizon League play Tuesday at the UPMC Events Center with a 6:00 p.m. match against Oakland.

Danny Doherty is in his first full season leading the Colonials after being named head coach Dec. 31, 2021. He served as interim head coach for the final four matches of the 2021 campaign.
- RMU concluded its non-conference campaign with an overall record of 7-5 (.583) after posting a 1-2 mark in Buies Creek, N.C., at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Dunn Campbell Invitational. The Colonials ran their winning streak to six with a
3-0 win over North Carolina Central (9/16) before falling to the host Camels, 3-0. The Citadel (9/17) posted a 3-1 win over RMU in the 2022 non-conference finale.

Abby Ryan earned a spot on the Fairfield Inn and Suites Dunn Campbell Invitational All-Tournament Team. In three matches she notched 32 kills (3.56 per set) and a .250 attack percentage, including a season-high 19 kills against The Citadel.
- The Colonials enter Horizon League play tops in the league in service aces with 80, an average of 1.70 per set. Senior libero
Allena Carmody ranks fifth in the circuit with an average of 0.36 per set thanks to 17 aces in 47 sets. Carmody also sits eighth in #HLVB in digs with an average of 3.81 per set.
- Ryan sits ninth in the Horizon league with an average of 2.97 kills per set, sophomore outside hitter
Ally Christman ranks 10th in hitting percentage (.254) and sophomore setter
Ashleigh Wallin averages 5.36 assists per set, which ranks sixth in #HLVB.
- During its six-match winning streak, the Colonials racked up 52 service aces (2.08 per set) while holding opponents to an attack percentage of .150. Sophomore outside hitter

- RMU heads to the Badger State after opening #HLVB action Tuesday, visiting Green Bay Friday, Sept. 23, for a 7:00 p.m. match before traveling to Milwaukee Saturday, Sept. 24, for a 5:00 p.m. match.

The All-Time Series (Oakland) – The Colonials and Golden Grizzlies meet for the 10th time Tuesday, with Oakland having won seven straight over RMU and owning a 7-2 (.778) advantage in the all-time series. In the first two meetings between the two programs, the Colonials earned a 3-0 win as part of the US Airways Classic (9/1/01) at the Charles L. Sewall Center as well as a 3-1 win at the Akron Tournament (9/7/02). The Golden Grizzlies began their seven-match surge over RMU Sept. 3, 2010, with a 3-0 win in Muncie, Ind., and have won each of the four meetings between the two programs as Horizon League foes.

Alley Oop – Sophomore outside hitter
Ally Christman put together one of the most complete performances of her young career in a 3-0 win over North Carolina Central (9/16), posting 19 kills and a .421 hitting percentage while also notching seven digs and a service ace. RMU is 4-0 this season when Christman reaches double figures in kills, and in those four matches she has averaged 4.19 kills per set while posting an attack percentage .351.
Dig Me Out – Senior
Allena Carmody is looking to become the second student-athlete for the Colonials to join the RMU 1,000-Dig Club in as many years. Carmody eclipsed 800 career digs by compiling 44 in 10 sets last weekend at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Dunn Campbell Invitational, pushing her career total to 827. Based on a four-set match, Carmody would need to average 2.40 digs per set through the remaining 18 matches of the 2022 regular season to become the 14th RMU student-athlete in program history with 1,000 career digs. Carmody has posted at least 10 digs in 11 of RMU's 12 matches this season, including 10 consecutive entering Tuesday's match against Oakland.
