LAST TIME OUT
Robert Morris tied and suffered its first loss of the season as it played to a 0-0 draw against Green Bay, before dropping a 9-1 decision on the road at Milwaukee last Sunday.

Against the Phoenix, the Colonials continued to spray shots all over the net as they finished with a 17-5 shot advantage, while holding a 9-1 lead in shots on goal. Gabriella Lecuona and Paloma Swankler paced Robert Morris with four shots apiece, while Swankler tallied three shots on goal.

In Milwaukee, the Colonials trailed 2-1 at the half before the Panthers recorded seven goals in the second half. In the 31st minute, Robert Morris knotted the score at 1-1 when freshman Nicola Mosionek carded her first career marker after she snuck a free kick just inside the right post from 20-yards out.

TEAM LEADERS
Junior forward Haleigh Finale continues to lead the Horizon League in multiple categories. She paces the league with 32 shots, while averaging 3.56 per game and has registered 16 shots on goal (1.76 per game), which is good for first in the conference.

Freshman Renae Mohrbacher leads the Horizon League with four assists, while ranking second on the team with 22 shots and tallying 11 shots on goal. Lecuona and Swankler have been great assets for Robert Morris off the bench as they have combined for 14 points, five goals, and four assists.

Redshirt senior goalkeeper Isabella Bohlen ranks sixth in the league with 28 total saves and posts a .718 save percentage. Bohlen is averaging just over three saves a game as she has faced 86 shots in nine games.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons come in with a 4-2-3 overall record behind a 0-0-1 mark in Horizon League play. Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off a 2-2 draw against IUPUI in their conference opener last Sunday.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two programs as the Mastodons hold a 3-1-1 record against the Colonials, dating back to 2015. Purdue Fort Wayne captured a 3-2 victory over Robert Morris a season ago.

The Mastodons are led by senior Mackenzie Evans who sits tied for third in the conference with four goals and has totaled nine points. Junior Rylee Vruggink leads the team with two assists and has totaled six points in nine games this season. Purdue Fort Wayne features four other players to record a goal, while seven have tallied an assist.

Senior goalkeeper Samantha Castaneda is one of the top keepers in the conference as she sits second in the league with 46 saves, while recording 5.11 saves per game. She's allowed nine goals this season and has carded three shutouts.

SCOUTING THE TITANS
Detroit Mercy has lost four of their last five contests and hold a 3-5-1 overall record with a 1-1-0 mark in league action. The Titans are coming off a 2-0 defeat at Cleveland State in conference play last Sunday.

This will be the third meeting between these two squads as the Titans hold a 1-0-1 record against Robert Morris. The two programs ended in a 2-2 draw last season before Detroit Mercy captured a 2-1 double-overtime victory in 2020.

The Titans are led by a duo of freshman as Abbey Lodato paces the team with seven points (3A, 2G) and Sophia Blankenship sits second with six points, while also leading the team with three goals. Senior Taylor Stanley has registered three assists, while starting in all nine contests.

QUOATABLES
"I know the team is eager to get back on the field. We have another road game against a tough Purdue Fort Wayne team and then back at home against Detroit Mercy," head coach Chris Shaw said. "There are no easy games in the Horizon League but we know we need to take care of business this week if we want to make the conference tournament."

NEXT UP
The Colonials return to action on Saturday, October 1, when they travel to Highland Heights, Kentucky for a Horizon League matchup with Northern Kentucky, beginning at noon.
