Opening Draw
  • The Colonials return to Joe Walton Stadium on Saturday, March 18, when they host Queens for a non-conference match.
  • The Robert Morris women's lacrosse team traveled to Canisius this past Wednesday (3/15), falling 12-5 at the Demske Sports Complex.
  • Four different Colonials registered a goal, led by Gia Anthony, who carded her fifth career multi-goal game. She fired a season-high seven shots while finding the back of the net twice and grabbed two ground balls.
  • Kelsey Nelson netted a score and an assist while grabbing two ground balls and caused a turnover. Julia Koterwas found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season and Chelsea Coleman extended her streak of five straight games with a score. Coleman leads the team with 12 goals this season and also grabbed a season-high four draws in the loss.
  • Sophomore midfielder Maddy Boyle paced the Colonials and grabbed a career-high five ground balls on the afternoon, while junior Lucy Hess snatched a pair as well.
  • Graduate goalkeeper Jamie Keller snagged six saves on 23 shots faced and has now collected five or more saves in five straight contests for RMU.
  • Following her performance against UMBC, Keller was tabbed Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week (3/7). Since joining the MAC in 2021, Keller has been honored by the conference four times, winning Defensive Player of the Week three times last season.
  • The Colonials will host UC Davis for their final non-conference match next Sunday (3/26) before beginning conference play at Youngstown State on April 1.

The All-Time Series (Queens) – Come Saturday at the Joe, it will be the first-ever meeting between the Colonials and Royals.

Scouting The Royals – Queens comes to Joe Walton Stadium on a four-game winning streak, owning a 4-3 overall record this season. The Royals dropped their first three games this season before winning four consecutive matches. They're coming off a 16-7 victory over Wofford this past Monday (3/13), where they outscored the Terries 7-4 in the second period to take an 8-5 lead at the half. Kayleen Favreau led the Royals with a career-high five goals. Shannon Kingston followed with four points on three goals and an assist. Shannon Donovan and Alexi Flores each had three points on two goals and one assist while Caroline Pearce also tallied an assist. Jillian Gironda led in assists with three while finishing with four points after also tallying a goal. On the defensive end, the Royals totaled 11 caused turnovers. Junior goalkeeper Caroline Kraemer picked up her fourth win of the season after totaling five saves in 29:16. Sharn Muffett was equally as impressive, recording five saves in 30:44.

Queens is led by Shannon Kingston, who is tied for fifth in the ASUN in points (21) and goals (16). Kingston has netted a goal in six of seven games this season while totaling three or more in three contests. She has 13 draw controls on the year along with eight ground balls and five caused turnovers. Kayleen Favreau ranks second in the conference and second on the team with 15 goals this season. Favreau has scored in six consecutive games, tallying a career high five goals in the win over Wofford. Caroline Pearce is the third Royal in with double-digit goals, carding 12 and grabbing 10 ground balls. On the defensive, Grace Guglielmo has been stout, pacing the team with 21 caused turnovers, 27 draw controls, and tied for the team lead with 14 ground balls.

The Streak Continues – Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Coleman kept her scoring steak alive with a goal in the fourth quarter at Canisius. Coleman has netted a score in five consecutive games for RMU while pacing the team with 12 goals this season. She ranks top 10 in the MAC in points with 14 and in goals. Senior attack Julia Koterwas moved her scoring streak to three straight games after finding the back of the net against the Golden Griffins. Koterwas has totaled nine points on the season, with five goals, ranking her fourth on the team. Graduate midfielder Kelsey Nelson has boasted back-to-back games with a goal, recording a score and an assist at Canisius.

Feed'em – Senior midfielder Colleen Tifft has been a field general for the Colonials this season. Tifft unfortunately had her streak of carding an assist in five straight contests broken at Canisius but continues to lead RMU with five assists this year. She currently sits tied for seventh in the MAC in assists while also being tied for seventh in shots per game with 26. Tifft is averaging 4.33 shots per contest which ranks her in the top 10 of the league. The senior midfielder also sits tied for second on the team with seven goals, tallying three at Gardner-Webb (3/8).
