Moon Township, Pa. – Fifth-year
Tara Gologram of the RMU track & field team earned honorable mention honors Wednesday for the 2023 Valeo Horizon League Indoor All-Academic Team as voted on by the league's faculty athletic representatives.
To earn Valeo #HLTF Indoor All-Academic Team distinction, a student-athlete must own a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale, participate in 50 percent of a program's competitions and have spent at least one academic year at their respective institution. Ties are not broken during the voting process, as student-athletes that earn at least 25 percent of the vote but are not part of the #HLTF Indoor All-Academic Team earn honorable mention status.
Gologram, a native of Industry, Pa., is pursuing a Master of Science degree in organizational leadership and has posted a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.48. She earned a bachelor's degree in the same major while minoring in biology and sport management in May of 2022.
At the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships in Fort Wayne, Ind., last month, Gologram established an indoor school record in the 60-meter dash thanks to a time of 7.69 seconds while also extending her own program standard in the long jump en route to earning silver in the event. On her third attempt of the long jump, Gologram posted a leap of 5.98 meters (19'7.50").
The school record in the long jump had stood for 14 years until Gologram established a new school record at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier (2/12/22) at Kent State last season, but in the last year she produced each of the top four distances in program history.
Led by head coach
