Can You Dig It?
- The RMU volleyball team opens a three-game homestand when it hosts Northern Kentucky for a league match on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the UPMC Events Center.
- The Colonials split a pair of matches last week, securing a 3-1 victory at Cleveland State before falling at Oakland, 3-0.
- After dropping their opening frame, the RMU rattled off three straight sets to secure its first conference victory of the season over the Vikings. A trio of Colonials paced the RMU offense as they all registered double-figure kills.

Natalie Stepanovich led the way with her fifth double-double of the season with 24 digs and 15 kills. She tallied four kills in each of the first two sets before rattling off five in the final frame.
Hillarie Adams registered 14 kills and three digs while posting five successful swings in the third set and four in the fourth stanza.

Rosina Esposito finished with 12 kills and a .310 hitting percentage while collecting three digs, two blocks, and one assist on Friday. She recorded six kills alone in the fourth set while hitting at a .600 clip.

Abby Powers recorded her best performance of the season so far, finishing with nine kills on 19 attempts, with just one error and an impressive .421 attacking percentage. She also collected a dig and a block while
Emma Brown rattled off seven kills and a block.

Ashleigh Wallin netted her second straight double-double, finishing with 28 assists, 10 digs, and two service aces. Kailtyn Brown registered her third assist/dig double-double on the year, with 15 assists, 14 digs, and a service ace.

Allena Carmody recorded a career-high 31 digs to go along with three assists and two aces for the Colonials.
Azra Eric paced the team with three blocks while totaling seven digs and
Jaidan Hockman finished with six digs and an ace.
- Against the Golden Grizzlies, Stepanovich paced the Colonials with 12 kills, seven digs, and one service ace on Saturday. Adams registered 11 successful swings with one dig and one assist while Esposito posted three points.
- Carmody netted a team-high 18 digs, to go along with three assists and one ace. Wallin tallied 11 assists and four digs while
Kaitlyn Brown recorded seven assists and three digs.
- The Colonials return to the UPMC Events Center for a pair of Horizon League contests, welcoming Milwaukee on Friday, Sept. 29 before hosting Green Bay on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The All-Time Series (Northern Kentucky) – It'll be the seventh all-time meeting between the Norse and Colonials come Tuesday night. Northern Kentucky holds a 5-1 record in the series while collecting a pair of sweeps last season. In the first meeting in Highland Heights, Ky., the Norse collected a 3-0 victory as
Abby Ryan paced the Colonials with nine kills and eight digs while tallying a block.
Kaitlyn Brown led RMU with 14 digs and 14 assists while
Allena Carmody posted 12 digs and six assists. In the second meeting in Moon Township, Ryan led the way for the Colonials with 10 kills and eight digs.
Ally Christman registered nine kills, three digs, one assist, and one service ace while Wallin posted 12 assists and four digs. Brown recorded nine assists and eight digs, with a service ace while Carmody totaled 12 digs and four assists.
Individuals On The Horizon – After the first week of conference play, a handful of Colonials continue to jump spots in the league statistics. Freshman
Natalie Stepanovich paces the Colonials and ranks sixth in the conference in kills (162) and kills per set (3.18). She currently ranks fourth in service aces while registering at least one in five consecutive matches.
Ashleigh Wallin paces RMU with 23 service aces, which is good for second in the league. She has posted two or more aces in three of the last four games while sitting seventh in assists per set (5.60).
Allena Carmody continues to lead the defense as she ranks seventh in the Horizon League in digs per set (4.14) and eighth in total digs (211). Carmody has tallied 10 or more digs in all but two contests while collecting 70 total digs in the first three conference matches.
