MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Wright State led from wire-to-wire in its 101-76 victory over RMU Wednesday evening at the UPMC Events Center. The Raiders improve to 9-8, 4-2 HL while the Colonials fall to 5-12, 1-5 HL.
 
1^st HALF
Wright State jumped out to an early 15-4 lead in the game's first five minutes. A 10-0 run put them ahead 27-6 at the 13:11 mark. Tanner Holden's layup at 10:40 made the score 36-12 and gave WSU their largest lead of the half at 24 points. The Raiders hit 8-of-10 3-point attempts and shot 71.9% from the floor as they took a 58-37 lead into halftime.
 
2^nd HALF
RMU had a few spurts in the 2^nd half, including an 11-4 run in a 3:38 span that included a pair of Jackson Last 3-pointers. The Colonials knocked down six 3s in the half, scoring 39 points in total.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Stephaun Walker scored 15 of his team-high 18 points in the 1^st half. He also led RMU with eight rebounds. Justice Williams scored 14 and Last 10.
 
Four Raiders scored in double-figures led by Holden's 29 points and Brandon Noel's double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds.
 
WSU came into tonight's game leading the country with a .537 field goal percentage. They shot .607, making 37-of-61 attempts and 12-of-20 3-pointers for 60%.
 
RMU held a 37-35 advantage on the boards, including a 16-6 edge in the offensive glass.
 
UP NEXT
RMU's homestand continues January 12 when it hosts Purdue Fort Wayne and Detroit Mercy January 17.
