MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Tigers poured in seven more goals tonight to beat the Colonials, 7-1. RMU is now 6-17-3 overall and 3-11-2 in AHA action. #20 RIT moves up to 15-8-1 overall and 11-5-0 in conference play.
1st PERIOD
- RIT scored two power-play goals in the opening period. Cody Laskosky and Carter Wilkie were the two goal scorers.
2nd PERIOD
- Repeating last night's game, the Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Adam Jeffery recorded his first goal of the season.
- In the middle of the period, freshman
Jackson Reineke bolted ahead with speed off a fast break to chip in his sixth goal of the season. Defenseman
Mitch Andres and goaltender
Chad Veltri earned assists on the goal. This was Veltri's second career assist.
- Five minutes later, Elijah Gonsalves pounced in an unassisted goal.
- Just a minute later, RIT added another to make the score, 5-1 heading into the second intermission.
3rd PERIOD
- In the final 20 minutes, RIT tallied two more goals, including one on the power-play. Forward Carter Wilkie earned the secondary assist on both scores.

RMU will travel next week, playing AIC for the first time. Their two-game series will be played on January 26-27.
