SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Francis Boisvert's first career win and shutout, along with freshman
Tanner Klimpke's two-point game helped RMU beat AIC (RV), 2-0 on the road. The Colonials moved up to 7-17-3 overall and 4-11-2 in AHA action this season. AIC is now 13-11-1 overall and 9-7-1 in conference play.
1ST PERIOD
- The Colonials penalty-kill kept RMU in it early on, killing off three early penalties in the opening period.
- RMU successfully stopped AIC from scoring across nine total minutes of playing shorthanded.
- Earning a power-play opportunity towards the end of the period, the Colonials cashed in to take a 1-0 lead. Luke Johnson and Rylee St. Onge assisted Tanner Klimpke for his team leading eighth goal of the season.
2ND PERIOD
- AIC received another power-play opportunity in the second period, but the Colonials killed that one off as well.
- After making 16 saves in the first period, netminder Francis Boisvert stopped 11 shots through the middle frame.
3RD PERIOD
- Right after the opening draw, RMU scored just 17 seconds into the final period. Tanner Klimpke with speed wrapped around the net, finding McKay Hayes in front of the crease to make it 2-0.
- Boisvert continued to stand tall in net, registering 23 more saves to withhold AIC from scoring once in the game.

TWO FOR TANNER
In a 2-0-win, freshman forward
Tanner Klimpke scored the game-winner and earned the primary assist on RMU's second goal to seal the deal. Klimpke is now tied with captain
Rylee St. Onge in power-play goals this season (4). From Calgary, Alberta, this is the freshman's third career multipoint effort. He owns three points in his last three games. On the year, Klimpke owns 17 points, leading all players on the roster (8-9—17).
FRANCIS'S FIRST
Not only was today's first career win for netminder
Francis Boisvert, it would also go down as his first career shutout. Out of Blainville, Quebec, Boisvert faced 50 shots and saved all of them. 50 saves go down as Boisvert's second-most stops in one game. He recorded 53 at Minnesota (1/12) earlier in the month.
