MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Two Colonials scored in double digits as RMU fell on the road to Youngstown State, 71-46. RMU drops to 6-15 overall and 2-10 in the Horizon League while Youngstown State moves to 8-13 on the year while going 4-7 in conference play.
KEY POSSESSIONS
The Colonials managed to go on a 6-0 scoring run midway through the first quarter as there were two-point contributions from
Danielle Vuletich,
Simone Morris, and
Naomi Barnwell. The offensive burst from RMU was their largest of the game as the Colonials were never able to grab the lead from Youngstown State.
RMU put up a game-best 16 points in the third quarter to try and guide a comeback effort against the Penguins.
Simone Morris was 2-2 from the field in the third frame while
Louella Allana converted on two three-pointers to put pressure on the Penguins defense.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Naomi Barnwell and Vuletich each notched a team-high 10 points while Barnwell also had a team-best nine rebounds against Youngstown State.
Simone Morris fouled out midway through the fourth quarter but finished with eight points, two steals, and a team-high three assists.
