CLEVELAND – RMU fell to Cleveland State 66-64 Sunday afternoon at Wolstein Center, ending its three-game winning streak. The Colonials fall to 8-13, 4-6 HL while the Vikings improve to 13-9, 6-5 HL.
 
1^st HALF
Cleveland State opened the contest by scoring the first seven points before RMU responded with an 11-0 run. The Colonials would extend their lead to nine points at 23-14 at the 6:15 mark on Josh Corbin's 3-pointer. RMU took a 31-26 lead into halftime.
 
2^nd HALF
The Colonials took their first double-digit lead on Markeese Hastings' 3-pointer that made the score 36-26 at 18:23 of the 2^nd half. The Vikings chipped away to make it a one-point contest at 51-50 on Jayson Woodrich's 3-pointer with 8:26 remaining. CSU would take the advantage at 57-56 when Tristan Enaruna's 3-pointer rattled home with 3:33 to go. The lead would exchange hands two times - RMU regained the lead at 60-59 with 1:39 to go on a Williams jumper, but on the next possession Chase Robinson hit a 3-pointer to make the score 62-60 1:20 left and give CSU a lead they did not rescind. Corbin hit a 3-pointer as time expired to close out the scoring.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Hastings recorded a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds – both team-highs. Corbin added 15 points. RMU won the battle of the boards 39-28, but struggled from the free throw line, making 7-of-15 attempts. Enaruna led all scorers with 28 points.

UP NEXT
RMU remains on the road with stops at Oakland Thursday, February 1 and Detroit Mercy Saturday, February 3. RMU returns to the UPMC Events Center Thursday, February 8 against Green Bay.
