ROCHESTER, Mich.  – Blake Lampman scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the 1^st half in Oakland's 87-72 victory over RMU on Thursday night. The Colonials drop their second in a row and fall to 8-14, 4-7 HL while the Grizzlies improve to 14-9, 9-3 HL.

 
1^st HALF
Lampman scored Oakland's first 12 points and 14 of its first 16 as they jumped out to an early nine-point lead, capping a 10-0 run at 14:47 of the 1st half. An 11-0 Grizzlies run made the score 40-23 and gave them their largest lead of the half at 17 points at 2:34 before the Colonials closed out the half with seven straight points sending the game into halftime 40-30.


2^nd HALF
The Colonials opened the 2^nd half with a spectacular alley-oop with Justice Williams finding Markeese Hastings from two steps across midcourt. However, the Grizzlies grew their lead to 20 points at the 13:25 mark at 59-39. RMU responded with 12 straight points, the final six coming from Jackson Last to make the score 59-51 at midway point of the half. The Colonials were within striking distance when Williams' 3-pointer made the score 70-62 at 4:48, but OU would lengthen its lead to 15 points with 2:40 remaining.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Hastings recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Williams had a team-high 18 points, Stephaun Walker added 12 and Last had 11 off the bench.
 
Oakland's Jack Golke took over the 2^nd half, scoring 16 of his 19 points in the last stanza.   Trey Townsend and DQ Cole each scored 11 for OU.
 
The teams were level on rebounds with 35. RMU outscored Oakland 40-24 in the paint.

RMU wraps up its roadtrip at Detroit Mercy Saturday, February 3. The Colonials return to the UPMC Events Center Thursday, February 8 against Green Bay.
