Moon Township, Pa. – Four Colonials score in double-digits but are unable to pick up the win against Oakland, 64-58. With the loss, RMU drops to 6-9 overall and 2-4 in the Horizon League while Oakland improves to 6-7 overall and a 2-3 mark in the conference.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Colonials offense started the game on fire from the field as RMU maintained a 12-3 run in the first five minutes of the game. 
Natalie Johnson got the scoring started followed by two made free throws and a layup by 
Simone Morris that immediately put the Golden Grizzlies on their heels. Morris and Johnson both had four points in that 12-point run and it ended up being the largest lead of the game for the Colonials.
RMU shot a team-worst 33 percent in the fourth quarter and it ended up costing the Colonials along with Oakland being in the bonus with over five minutes left in the game. RMU outshot the Golden Grizzlies 14-13 in the final frame but two missed shots in the final minute proved to be costly for the Colonials.
INTERIOR PRESENCE
The Colonials offense had success under the hoop as they notched 38 of their points in the paint. 
Paris Kirk, 
Rebecca Dwomoh, and 
Natalie Johnson combined for 12 field goals in the paint as they outscored the Golden Grizzlies in that category by six points.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Dwomoh led the Colonials with 14 points while adding eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks on the day. 
Louella Allana and Johnson added 10 points each while Johnson added three steals and two assists in her second start of the season. 
Paris Kirk came off the bench and added 10 points with four boards, two blocks, and two steals.
