MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's soccer team delivered an offensive masterclass, defeating Green Bay 5-0 to remain at the top of the Horizon League standings. The win improves the Colonials' record to 7-4-2 overall and 4-1-1 in conference play.
FIRST HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- Just two minutes into the match, Kai McLoughlin opened the scoring with a long-range effort. Anass Hadran forced a turnover in the corner and set up McLoughlin just outside the box for the early 1-0 lead.
- Green Bay substituted goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez into the match in the 10th minute.
- In the 23rd minute, Green Bay nearly equalized when Oscar Arroyo struck the woodwork after two consecutive corner kicks.
- RMU extended their lead in the 27th minute. After a corner kick was cleared, left back Tim Koczulap sent a cross into the box, which John Paul Mbuthia headed home to make it 2-0.
- Green Bay's Andrew Paolucci received a yellow card in the 35th minute.
SECOND HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- In the 60th minute, RMU added a third goal. Koczulap found Chase Gilley, who played a perfect through ball to Hadran. Hadran beat the keeper to make it 3-0.
- Mbuthia scored his second goal of the match in the 66th minute, assisted by Gilley and William Dodzi Afawubo, extending RMU's lead to 4-0.
- The match saw more yellow cards, with Lucas Barsoee booked in the 73rd minute and Pedro Amadou receiving one in the 83rd.
- Kosi Udeh completed the scoring in the 86th minute with a solo effort, dribbling 80 yards after clearing a corner kick. He beat two defenders to net RMU's fifth goal.

Kai McLoughlin, who scored his first goal of the season, and Afawubo, who tallied his first assist, both now have three points on the season.
MULTIPOINT EFFORTS
- Senior forward John Paul Mbuthia scored his first career two-goal game, bringing his season total to nine points (4g, 1a).
- Forward Chase Gilley recorded two assists for his fifth career multipoint effort, leading the team with nine points (6g, 3a) and ranking third in the Horizon League.
- Midfielder Anass Hadran notched a goal and assist, bringing his season totals to four goals and four assists. This was his third career multipoint game.
- Sophomore defender Tim Koczulap added two assists, increasing his points total to six (2g, 4a) and leading all defenders on the team.
CLEAN SHEET

Josh Lane earned his fourth clean sheet of the season with three saves. Lane has seven wins and 37 saves on the season, with his 1.78 GAA ranking fifth in the Horizon League.
TOP OF THE TABLE
With this victory, RMU remains at the top of the Horizon League standings. The Colonials have won four of their last five conference matches and hold a 4-1-1 record with three conference games remaining.
