MANCHESTER, N.H. – The RMU women's hockey team returned to the win column with a 6-1 victory over Saint Anselm, improving their record to 4-5-0.
FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Just three minutes into play, Mya Neugent scored to open the series, assisted by Morgan Giannone and Shayne Desjardins.
- Ten minutes later, Calli Arnold netted her second goal of the season, burying a rebound off assists from Giannone and Neugent.
- Both teams were 0-1 on power plays through the first 20 minutes.
SECOND PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- RMU extended their lead when freshman Mya Kearns moved the puck up the boards to Allyson Hebert, who found Jersey Phillips on a 2-on-1 rush. Phillips chose to shoot, sniping her shot to make it 3-0.
- The Colonials finished the period 0-1 on the power play, while the Hawks went 0-2.
THIRD PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Anselm managed to break the shutout with a power-play goal early in the third.
- RMU responded quickly as Calli Arnold tapped in another rebound for her second of the game, assisted again by Giannone and Neugent.
- With seven minutes left, Giannone scored with assists from Neugent and Catriona Crarer, who earned her first assist of the season.
- To finish off, Janelle Evans lifted a pass to Alaina Giampietro, who broke away and deked past the goalie for her second goal of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Colonials outshot Saint Anselm 43-40. RMU went 0-4 on the power play, while the Hawks were 1-5. The first line of Arnold, Neugent, and Giannone led with a +4 rating, and 10 players contributed points. RMU won a season-high 42 faceoffs, achieving 62.7% in the circle, with Crarer leading the team with nine wins. Hebert and Kearns each blocked three shots.

Maggie Hatch recorded 39 saves, surpassing 1,000 career saves. Tonight, marked her 21st game with 30+ saves. She currently holds a .927 save percentage with four wins and one shutout on the season.
CAREER DAYS
- Calli Arnold (Dodsland, Saskatchewan) achieved her first two-goal game and second multi-point effort, bringing her career totals to eight goals, three assists, and 11 points in 40 games.
- Morgan Giannone (Oakville, Ontario) set a personal record with four points (1g, 3a), marking her seventh career multi-point game and raising her totals to 11 goals, 15 assists, and 26 points over 77 games.
- Mya Neugent (Sun Prairie, Wis.) also posted a career-high with four points (1g, 3a), her sixth career multi-point game, totaling 11 goals, 13 assists, and 24 points in 99 games. Tomorrow marks her 100th career game.
