MANCHESTER, N.H. – The RMU women's hockey team notched a 7-1 victory to sweep their series at Saint Anselm, bringing their record to 5-5-0 on the season.
FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Anselm struck first, scoring just 14 seconds in on their first shot.
- Later in the period, Morgan Giannone continued her hot streak, netting a rebound goal with assists from Allyson Hebert and Mya Neugent.
SECOND PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- RMU wasted no time in the second, with Janelle Evans scoring just 16 seconds in, assisted by Alaina Giampietro and Veronica Bac.
- Midway through the period, Giampietro added another goal, with assists from Evans and Shayne Desjardins.
- RMU's penalty kill was perfect, successfully killing off all three of Saint Anselm's power plays in the second period.
THIRD PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonials' offense exploded in the final period, scoring four additional goals:
- Catriona Crarer netted her first goal of the season with assists from Ashlyn Ham and Madison Primeau.
- Giannone scored her second of the game with a slick backhand effort.
- Giampietro added her second goal of the day, with assists from Evans and Bac.
- In the final seconds, Neugent scored a power-play goal, with freshmen Mya Kearns and Giannone assisting.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
RMU dominated in shots, outshooting Saint Anselm 45-20, and won 38 of 59 faceoffs. Crarer led with nine faceoff wins, while Hebert posted a +4 rating.

Mya Farr each blocked three shots.
THREE-POINT PERFORMANCES
- Morgan Giannone tallied seven points across the series. With two goals and an assist today, she now has 13 goals, 16 assists, and 29 points in her career. Today was her eighth career multipoint game.
- Alaina Giampietro contributed two goals and one assist, marking her ninth career multipoint game, bringing her totals to 23 goals, 15 assists, and 38 points in 44 games.
- Janelle Evans recorded one goal and two assists, reaching her eighth career multipoint effort. She now holds 11 goals, 25 assists, and 36 points in 44 games.
FIRST CAREER WIN
Redshirt-freshman
Lucy Phillips from Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, earned her first career win, making 19 saves and recording a .950 save percentage.
SERIES SWEEP
This marks RMU's second series sweep of the season, outscoring Saint Anselm 13-2. They previously swept Bemidji State, outscoring them 6-3.
UP NEXT
RMU begins conference play next weekend with a two-game series at RIT. The first game is set for Friday, November 1, at 6:00 PM, with the finale on Saturday, November 2, at 3:00 PM.
