MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's soccer team wrapped up their regular season with a 3-1 loss to Youngstown State on Wednesday afternoon at the North Athletic Complex. The Colonials finish the regular season at 5-6-6 overall and 4-3-3 in Horizon League play, securing their place as the No. 4 seed for the upcoming conference playoffs.
FIRST HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- RMU took the lead in the 32nd minute when Paloma Swankler found Haleigh Finale in the corner, who crossed to Taylor Day in the box. Day's header gave the Colonials a 1-0 advantage.
- Just three minutes later, Swankler scored what looked like an insurance goal, but it was ruled offsides.
SECOND HALF HIGHLIGHTS
- RMU began the half with two shots in the first 12 minutes but YSU broke through.
- The Penguins tied the game in the 61st minute with a long-distance goal from Emma Rigone.
- Abby Knight scored the go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute off a rebound from a corner kick.
- YSU added an insurance goal six minutes later to secure the 3-1 victory.

Taylor Day's goal marked her fourth of the season and third in as many games. She now has eight career goals, five assists, and 21 total points.
MILESTONE ACHIEVED
With three saves today, goalkeeper
Brenna Murray reached 200 career saves. The Raleigh, N.C. native has accumulated 20 wins and 11 shutouts.

Junior captain
Jillian Marvin continued her impressive season on defense, having played every minute of all 17 games. The Peters Township, Pa. native has logged 1,530 minutes and contributed three assists this year.
