ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RMU women's hockey team dropped the final game of their series against RIT, allowing three goals in the third period to finish 5-1. RMU now stands at 5-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.
FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams held each other scoreless in the first 20 minutes, just as they did in the previous game.
- RMU killed off a 3-on-5 penalty late in the first and then received a five-minute power-play due to an RIT major penalty but couldn't capitalize.
SECOND PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Midway through the second period, RIT's Kailey Favro broke the deadlock, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
THIRD PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Four minutes into the third, Favro scored again, putting RIT up 2-0.
- RMU quickly responded as Catriona Crarer won a faceoff, passing to Emma Goding, who scored from distance to cut the deficit to one.
- In the next three minutes, RIT scored two quick goals, extending their lead to 4-1.
- The Tigers added an empty-net goal in the final minutes, securing a 5-1 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- RIT outshot RMU 43-27. RMU won 30 of 61 faceoffs, with Jersey Phillips winning a team-high 10 and Crarer achieving a 70%-win rate.
- Captain Allyson Hebert led the team defensively with four blocks, while goaltender Lucy Phillips made 38 saves.

RMU will have a two-week break before hosting Mercyhurst at Clearview Arena in a two-game series on November 15-16.
