MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball lost at home in a non-conference matchup against Bucknell, 66-54 on Friday afternoon. The Colonials are now 2-5 on the season as they prepare for their first Horizon League game next Wednesday night.
FIRST QUARTER
- The Colonials were making their early shots and played tough defense forcing two Bucknell turnovers in the first three minutes of action.
- RMU led 8-7 at the 6:51 mark of the quarter, but that would end up being the final lead the Colonials had in the game.
- The Bison would go on a 12-3 run to close out the first quarter as Bucknell shot a game-high 66 percent from the field in the frame. RMU trailed 19-11 heading into the second quarter.
SECOND QUARTER
- The Bison just continued to shoot the ball well to start this frame as the visitors made their first five shots of the quarter,
- The Colonials tried to get back into the game and the closest they got was at the 4:57 mark as a Raissa Nsabua layup closed the gap to nine points.
- Bucknell ended the quarter with a 36-24 lead over RMU.

THIRD QUARTER
- The Colonials shot a team-high 54 percent from the field in this frame as Mya Murray was 3-3 with six points in the quarter.
- Murray tried to give RMU that momentum back on their side with a couple terrific coast-to-coast driving layups that cut into the Bucknell lead.
- The Bison were held scoreless in the final two minutes of the quarter but still held a 12 point lead going to the final frame.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Bucknell continued to increase their lead as they had a 17-point lead halfway into the frame.
- The Colonials were led on offense in the quarter by Isys Grady who had all six of her points in the fourth.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Colonials were guided on offense by
Noa Givon who had 13 points as she continues to lead RMU in scoring through the first seven games.
Mya Murray had 11 points off the bench in 17 minutes of action as she also had a team-high five rebounds.
