MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia scored the first 21 points of the game en route to an 87-59 victory over RMU on Monday evening at the WVU Coliseum.
 
1^st HALF
RMU went scoreless for the first six minutes until DJ Smith got the Colonials on the board. WVU would take a 30-2 lead at the 12-minute mark before a 12-2 RMU run made the score 32-14. A Kam Woods layup closed out the 1^st half scoring with the Mountaineers ahead 46-26.

2^nd HALF
WVU's lead would get as high as 29 points when Jonathan Powell's layup made the score 73-44.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Josh Omojafo led RMU with 13 points and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. Alvaro Folgueiras had a team-high 10 rebounds and Kam Woods recorded three assists. The Colonials out-rebounded the Mountaineers 41-37 including 16-6 on the offensive glass.

UP NEXT
RMU remains on the road to face Delaware on November 7. The Colonials open up their season at the UPMC Events Center on November 10.
