MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Athletics is proud to announce the inductees of the Hall of Fame Class of 2024, the University's 32
nd annual installment of Colonial greats from the past. The five new members to join the elite group of former student-athletes, administrators and coaches are Toba Bolaji (men's soccer), Robb Butler (football), Arden Fisher (volleyball), Brittany Howard (women's hockey) and Zac Lynch (men's hockey).
Toba Bolaji (2009-12; Men's Soccer)
A four-year starter at goalkeeper, Bolaji posted a career goals against average of 1.17, which stands as the school record, while also owning the Robert Morris career mark for shutouts with 17. Bolaji ranks second in save percentage (.823), fourth in saves (367), fifth in saves per game (5.65) and wins (21). As a freshman in 2009, Bolaji posted an .851 save percentage and a 0.91 goals against average. In 2010 he recorded six shutouts while finishing with a 1.02 goals against average, becoming the only goalkeeper in school history to post two of the top five marks in single-season history for goals against average. In 2010, Bolaji was named to the All-NEC Second Team. Academically, he was named to the 2010 District 2 ESPN Academic All-America Team and 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's Division I All-North Atlantic Region Third Team.
Robb Butler (2002-03; Football) – A two-way player who started all 20 games for the Colonials after transferring from Pitt, Butler caught 29 passes for a team-leading 459 yards from his running back position in 2002. The next year as a senior, he converted to strong safety and made 84 tackles, intercepted two passes, broke up nine passes and forced two fumbles en route to NCAA Division I-AA All-American honors. After RMU, he signed with San Diego Chargers and appeared in five regular season games in 2004. Butler also spent time with the Ravens, Patriots and Chiefs before finishing his playing career in the Arena Football League.
Arden Fisher (2013-16; Volleyball) – The third student-athlete in program history to earn All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honors each of her four years, Fisher earned second team honors each of her first three years before being named to the 2016 All-NEC First Team. Fisher ranks sixth (1,256) in kills and second in digs (1,852) and she is one of two players in program history to rank in the Top 10 in both categories. In her senior season in 2016, Fisher recorded 598 digs, which ranks second in the RMU single-season record book. As a junior in 2015, Fisher appeared in all 120 sets, leading the Colonials in kills (368) and digs (545) as RMU posted an overall record of 19-13 (.594), including 11-3 (.786) in the NEC, and claimed the 2015 NEC Tournament championship and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Brittany Howard (2013-18; Women's Hockey) – In 138 career games at RMU, Howard concluded her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 181 points on 79 goals and 102 assists. She helped lead the Colonials to 24 wins as a freshman during the 2013-14 season and capped her career by leading RMU to consecutive 20-win seasons in 2016-17 and 2017-18. The Colonials appeared in their first NCAA Tournament in 2017 and posted an overall record of 24-5-6 (.771) as Howard led the squad in scoring with 50 points on 20 goals and 30 assists, becoming the program's first-ever 50-point single-season scorer. A two-time College Hockey America (CHA) scoring champion (2017, 2018), Howard became the first student-athlete to be named an American Hockey Coaches Association All-American in program history, earning second team honors in 2018. She was also named to the 2018 All-USCHO (United States College Hockey Online) Third Team and the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Dapper Dan Sportswomen of the Year.
Zac Lynch (2012-16; Men's Hockey) – During his four years with the Colonials, Lynch helped RMU earn five championships, including two Three Rivers Classic Confluence Cups (2013, 2015), two Atlantic Hockey regular-season championships (2015, 2016) and the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Tournament title. He became the program's all-time leading scorer his senior season in 2015-16 with 156 career points thanks to 67 goals and 89 assists. That same year, Lynch established an NCAA record by scoring a short-handed goal in four consecutive games. Thanks to that performance, he owns RMU single-season (8) and career (14) marks for short-handed tallies. In 2015-16, Lynch established a new single-season record for points with 55, compiling 25 goals and 30 assists. For those efforts he was named the 2016 Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year.
The Class of 2024 will be honored in a ceremony on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the UPMC Events Center.
