DAYTON, Ohio – Wright State scored the first 14 points of the game and never looked back in its 101-71 win over RMU Saturday afternoon at the Nutter Center. The Colonials fall to 10-17 overall and 6-10 in the Horizon League. WSU improves to 15-12 and 10-6 HL.
 
1^st HALF
WSU started by making its first eight field goal attempts and built its lead to 19-2 at the 14:42 mark of the 1^st half. The Colonials were able to make it a single-digit deficit after Jackson Last's and-1 with 5:54 to go, but the Raiders responded with a 12-2 run to take a 42-23 lead. RMU went the final 2:42 without a field goal as Wright State took a 53-32 lead into halftime.
 
2^nd HALF                                                    
Justice Williams opened up the 2^nd half by hitting back-to-back 3-pointers, but Wright State would quickly take a 20-point lead at the 15-minute mark. The Raiders' lead would get as high as 34 points at 93-59 with 5:04 remaining.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Alvaro Folgueiras had a career-high 15 points along with eight rebounds. Last matched his total and had a career-best six field goals. Williams scored 12 points and Markeese Hastings added 11.  
 
Wright State's AJ Braun led all scorers with 24 points. Trey Calvin and Brandon Noel each had 21. As a team, the Raiders shot 64.2% from the field and 63.6% from 3-point range.
 
UP NEXT
RMU returns to the UPMC Events Center for the next three contests beginning with Oakland Thursday, February 22. The Colonials will honor Markeese Hastings and Josh Corbin Sunday, February 25 for Senior Day against Cleveland State. The homestand wraps up Wednesday February 28 when Northern Kentucky comes to town.
