MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU scored two power play goals but weren't able to climb back from the Golden Griffins three-goal opening period, falling 5-3. RMU is 10-20-3 overall and 7-14-2 in AHA action. Canisius moves up to 10-17-4 overall and 9-10-4 in conference play.
1st PERIOD
- Through the first 13 minutes, Canisius scored three goals in the opening frame to take a 3-0 lead.
- Freshman Jackson Reineke continued his hot streak scoring a power play goal for RMU late in the first period.
2nd PERIOD
- In the second period each team scored.
- The Golden Griffins extended their lead six minutes into the first.
- RMU continued to fight back as Rylee St. Onge brought the Colonials within two again, ripping in a power play tally off a nice pass from Jackson Reineke and Dallas Tulik.
3rd PERIOD
- Entering the final frame, the visitors scored a power play goal of their own to take a 5-2 lead.
- Freshman Cameron Garvey added one more goal in for the Colonials as he tipped a puck in close outside the blue crease. In the end, the Colonials comeback was not enough and Canisius won, 5-3.

Rylee St. Onge led the team in shots with seven and posted his team leading fifth power play goal of the season. In the +/- department,
Logan Ganie,
Tom Gangl and
Paul Maust each finished as a +1. Dishing out two assists tonight,
Dallas Tulik put on another solid performance on home ice. He was the best center on faceoffs, winning 17 of 25 draws. Defensively,
Luke Johnson and
Tanner Klimpke each blocked three shots. In net,
Francis Boisvert made 24 stops.

RMU will conclude their home schedule at Clearview Arena. They'll face Canisius at 5:00 PM while the Senior Day ceremony will be done before puck drop. The game will be broadcasted on SportsNet Pittsburgh.
