GAME 2

Sunday, February 18 | 12:00 p.m.
Joe Walton Stadium (3,000) | Moon Township, Pa

Opening Draw
  • RMU women's lacrosse are set to open up their 2024 home slate when they host Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon.
  • The Colonials opened their season last week with a loss against the Ohio State Buckeyes, 19-3.
  • Robert Morris had two different goal scorers last Friday against OSU as Colleen Tifft and Lilli Hadden tallied their first goals of the season.
  • The Colonials had several career-firsts occur during the opening game as Lizzie Paterno and Sydney Riker both started their first games in the blue and white. Also, Jenna Evans and Megan Shepley saw their first game action against Ohio State.
  • The Colonials are returning four decorated members of the team that were rewarded by the MAC during the 2023 season. Colleen Tifft, Chelsea Coleman, Mackenzie Bell, and Jordan Anderson were all recognized for their stellar play last season and are returning for an encore this year.

The All-Time Series (Cincinnati) – This will be the eighth all-time meeting between the Colonials and Bearcats come Sunday afternoon. Robert Morris and Cincinnati first met in 2008 when the Colonials registered an 11-8 win. In the last meeting, Cincinnati won 24-9 as Chelsea Coleman had a three-goal performance against the Bearcats. RMU's last win in the series came during the 2015 season when the Colonials upended the Bearcats 20-7 in Moon Township.

Climbing the Record Books – Graduate Student Colleen Tifft now has 95 goals in her RMU career which ties her at ninth all-time with 2021 graduate Melanie Gandy. Tifft would become just the ninth Colonial all-time to hit the 100-goal plateau as Mackenzie Gandy owns the record for most career goals with 149.

Run It Back – Joining the Mid-American Conference in 2021, the Colonials have been making a name for themselves the past three seasons. In RMU's first season in the MAC they were crowned champions and the past two years have made the championship game but fell both times to Central Michigan.
