ST. CHARLES, Mo. – RMU women's hockey finished up the regular season, completing the sweep at Lindenwood, winning 6-3. The Colonials head into the playoffs now 14-17-1 overall and 11-8-1 in conference games. Lindenwood's season ends with a 11-19-2 overall record and 6-12-2 record in CHA action.
1st PERIOD
- For the first 20 minutes of the night, the Colonials absolutely dominated, scoring four straight unanswered goals.

Morgan Giannone only needed about 98 seconds to get the Colonials on the board first.
- Later in the period,
Mya Neugent tapped in a pass from
Courtney Hall in the blue paint to extend the lead.
- Under 30 seconds later,
Calli Arnold received a pass down the ice from
Thalia D'Elia. She skated down the wing and sniped in a shot top corner, making it 3-0.
- Before the end of the period, freshman
Alaina Giampietro added one more dagger, giving RMU a 4-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
2nd PERIOD
- The Colonials continued their offensive firepower, scoring just two minutes into the middle frame. On the power play,
Shailynn Snow recorded her second goal of the series. RMU scored five unanswered goals to begin the game.
- Near the end of the period, Lindenwood finally scored their first goal, earning a power play tally.
3rd PERIOD
- Opening the final period, Lindenwood scored another special teams' goal, this time shorthanded.
- Later in the third, the Lions scored a third straight goal, bringing the score to 5-3.
- To close out the game,
Shailynn Snow passed in the empty netter, as RMU officially won 6-3 and swept Lindenwood to close out the regular season.

Alaina Giampietro led the Colonials in shots on goal with seven on the day. In the +/- department,
Thalia D'Elia and
Allyson Hebert each ended the game with a team best +2. In the faceoff circle,
Jersey Phillips won 10 of 21 faceoffs, leading the team in the faceoff circle. Defensively,
Allyson Hebert blocked four more shots to reach 69 in the regular season.
ALL-TIME VS. LINDENWOOD
The Colonials continued their historic success against the Lions, sweeping the series with a high-scoring 7-5 and 6-3 win. All-time, RMU is 37-8-1 against the opposing program and has scored 173 goals across those 46 games. In the record books, the Colonials have earned their most wins and goals against the Lions.
MULTIPOINT EFFORTS
Tonight, graduate forward
Shailynn Snow posted her second multipoint effort of the season, producing two goals and one assist. In her career, she's closing in on 100 career points (35-63—98). Freshman
Janelle Evans also dished out two assists and is now the team leader in points with 28.

UP NEXT
With the 2023-24 regular season complete, the field is officially set for the 2024 CHA Playoff Tournament. RMU claims the No. 3 spot in the bracket. The CHA postseason will open the weekend of February 23-25 in a best-of-three semifinal series at No. 2 Mercyhurst. The winner of the series will advance to the CHA Championship Game on March 2 at the site of the highest advancing seed. All games of the 2024 CHA postseason will stream live on FloHockey.
