Moon Township, Pa – The RMU Women's Lacrosse team started their 2024 home slate with a loss to Cincinnati, 15-0.
With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 0-2 to begin the year. Meanwhile, the Bearcats picked up their first win of the season to move to 1-2.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the first quarter but the Colonials still outmatched Cincinnati in some of the key categories. RMU was able to have more draw controls to get possession as

Colleen Tifft,
Jenna Evans, and
Jordan Anderson each had three draw controls for a total of 12 compared to the Bearcats six controls. The Colonials in the fourth quarter started to get more looks at the net as they had five shots in the final frame as junior
Lizzie Paterno led the team with three shots.
CAREER FIRST
Freshman midfielder
Jenna Evans started her first game as a Colonial in just her second career game at RMU. Evans had a ground ball and tied for the team-lead in draw controls against Cincinnati.
UP NEXT
RMU returns to action on Thursday, February 22, when they host Boston College for a non-conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Joe Walton Stadium.
