Opening Draw
- RMU women's lacrosse will look for their first win of the season as they make the short trip to Lewisburg, Pa to square off against Bucknell.
- Most recently, the Colonials fell at home against the number one team in the country (Boston College), 23-2.
- Lilli Hadden registered her second goal of the year against the Eagles while junior midfielder Jenna Irwin notched her first goal of the year on Thursday afternoon.
- Maggie Boyle and Haylee Handrahan each collected their first points of the season as they both tallied an assist in the loss.
- The Colonials are returning four decorated members of the team that were rewarded by the MAC during the 2023 season. Colleen Tifft, Chelsea Coleman, Mackenzie Bell, and Jordan Anderson were all recognized for their stellar play last season and are returning for an encore this year.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES (BUCKNELL) – The Colonials own a 5-6 overall record against the Bison as RMU is currently riding a two-game losing streak in the series. RMU's last win in the series came during the 2020 campaign at Joe Walton Stadium when the Colonials upended Bucknell, 11-8. The last meeting took place just last season as Bucknell was victorious by a score of 15-8. Midfielder
Chelsea Coleman was the leading scorer for RMU as she had four goals on four shots last year against the Bison.
SCOUTING THE BISON – Bucknell has had a tough start to the season as they've had losses against the likes of Penn State, Villanova, and St. Bonaventure. Against the Bonnies, Bucknell had a shot to win but they came up short 15-13 on the road this past Wednesday afternoon. The Bison are led by junior attack Allie Boyce who leads the squad with eight points off of her team-leading eight goals. Boyce also leads the team with 12 shots on goal and six ground balls to begin the season.
CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS – Graduate Student
Colleen Tifft now has 95 goals in her RMU career which ties her at ninth all-time with 2021 graduate Melanie Gandy. Tifft would become just the ninth Colonial all-time to hit the 100-goal plateau as Mackenzie Gandy owns the record for most career goals with 149.
RUN IT BACK – Joining the Mid-American Conference in 2021, the Colonials have been making a name for themselves the past three seasons. In RMU's first season in the MAC they were crowned champions and the past two years have made the championship game but fell both times to Central Michigan.
