MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Marques Warrick scored a game-high 28 points to lead Northern Kentucky to a 70-60 victory over RMU on Wednesday evening at the UPMC Events Center.
 
1^st HALF
Northern Kentucky scored the first nine points of the contest before RMU would counter with a 10-2 run. However, the Norse would take a 19-10 lead at the midway point of the half and a 30-18 advantage at the under-4 media timeout. They would take a 42-23 lead into halftime.
 
2^nd HALF
RMU outscored NKU 37-28 in the 2^nd half, ending the contest on a 12-2 run.  Ben Krystkowiak closed out the scoring with back-to-back 3-pointers.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Josh Corbin's 3-pointer at 19:34 of the 2^nd quarter was his 1,000^th career point. Corbin has 711 points as a Colonial and 295 in his two-plus seasons at Winthrop. He finished the contest with 14 points. TJ Wainwright added 12 markers and Alvaro Folgueiras pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.
 
RMU hit 11 3-pointers – Corbin with four, Wainwright with three Jackson Last and Krystkowiak with two apiece.
 
UP NEXT
RMU's last regular season contest is on Saturday, March 2 at Purdue Fort Wayne. The Colonials will be on the road for the first round of the 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championship which begins Tuesday, March 5 at an opponent to be determined.
