Opening Draw
- The Robert Morris women's lacrosse team opens its 2024 campaign on the road in Columbus, Ohio when they meet the Buckeyes of Ohio State on Friday afternoon.
- The Colonials return 28 players from the 2023 squad that posted an overall record of 10-9, including a 7-1 mark in Mid-American Conference (MAC) play. RMU adds six new faces to the squad prior to the 2024 season.
- Robert Morris is led by head coach Courtney Grove, who is entering her first year as coach of the Colonials. Grove arrives from Seton Hill where she guided the Griffins to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Grove has recorded a 106-64 (.624) overall record and an impressive 76-31 (.710) mark in the PSAC.
- In a poll of Mid-American head coaches, the Colonials were picked to finish third heading into the 2023 season. RMU received 28 points, while defending MAC champions, Central Michigan were tabbed second (32 points) and Kent State was predicted to finish first with 33 points.
- Last season, the Colonials ranked among the conferences best in some key categories. RMU led the MAC with 21.84 shots on goal per game, and was second in the conference by averaging just 13.47 turnovers per contest.
- The Colonials are returning four decorated members of the team that were rewarded by the MAC during the 2023 season. Colleen Tifft, Chelsea Coleman, Mackenzie Bell, and Jordan Anderson were all recognized for their stellar play last season and are returning for an encore this year.
The All-Time Series (Ohio State) – This will be the seventh all-time meeting between the Colonials and Buckeyes come Friday afternoon. Robert Morris and Ohio State first met in 2007 in Moon Township, where the Buckeyes registered a 13-5 win. Ohio State has won all six meetings in the series, including an 18-6 victory last season. Five different Colonials registered a goal in Columbus.
Jerica Obee got RMU on the board in the first quarter before
Bailey Christianson and
Julia Koterwas registered goals in the second.
Colleen Tifft and
Jordan Anderson finished the scoring for the Colonials in the fourth quarter.
New Faces – The Colonials will welcome six newcomers to Robert Morris this season, all true freshmen.

Aubrey Chopper,
Anabel Kreydt,
Jenna Evans, and
Megan Shepley will all look to make a mark for Robert Morris in their first season.
Run It Back – Joining the Mid-American Conference in 2021, the Colonials have been making a name for themselves the past three seasons. In RMU's first season in the MAC they were crowned champions and the past two years have made the championship game but fell both times to Central Michigan.
