MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Two Colonials scored in double digits but it wasn't enough as RMU was upended on the road against Detroit Mercy, 68-49. RMU drops to 6-17 overall and 2-12 in the Horizon League as Detroit Mercy improves to 15-10 overall and 8-6 in conference action.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Colonials got off to a fast start on the road thanks to a 13-4 run to begin the contest. RMU had three different players hit on three-pointers to help them jump out to the early nine-point lead.

Natalie Johnson, and
Naomi Barnwell all scored from beyond the arc as it was the most three-pointers scored in any quarter for the Colonials.

RMU wasn't able to convert on their shots in the middle of the second quarter as the score was tied at 15 when Detroit Mercy ended the first half on a 10-2 run to extend their lead. The Colonials were held to just two points in the final six minutes of the second quarter and only scored four points total in the second frame.
CONSISTENT FROM THE LINE
The Colonials were a perfect 7-7 from the charity stripe against Detroit Mercy including four made free throws from
Simone Morris. Tuanu Coskun was 2-2 and
Eden Monka converted her lone shot at the line for the Colonials. This was the only instance all season where RMU finished a game shooting 100% from the free throw line.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Natalie Johnson led the Colonials with 12 points off the bench as she was 2-3 from beyond the arc against the Titans.
Naomi Barnwell chipped in 11 points along with a team-leading seven rebounds for RMU.
Louella Allana led the team with 31 minutes played as she finished with six points, three steals, two assists, and two rebounds.
