Opening Draw
- The RMU Colonials women's lacrosse team will look to play their first road conference game as they travel to Ohio and battle Kent State on Saturday.
- Most recently, the Colonials won a thrilling triple overtime game against MAC foe Akron, 10-9.
- Jenna Irwin led the Colonials in the scoring department as she registered three goals against the Zips. Also, Lilli and Julia Hadden each collected two goals while Lilli tallied two assists as well.
- Colleen Tifft, Isabella Teal, and Chelsea Coleman each had one goal against Akron with Coleman and Tifft leading the Colonials with four shots in the game. Freshman Megan Shepley had a game-high seven ground balls while registering seven saves to collect her first win of the season.
- At the midway point of the season, senior Lilli Hadden leads RMU with 20 points courtesy of 15 goals and five assists. Jenna Irwin is tied with Hadden in goals (15) as both players have started all 10 games for the Colonials.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES (KENT STATE) – The Colonials have had great success in the past against Kent State as they'll go into Saturday's matchup with a 7-1 record in the series. The two squads faced off against each other twice last year with each team winning one contest. In the last matchup, the Colonials won 13-12 at Kent State.
Chelsea Coleman scored a team-high four goals on six shots on goal.
Colleen Tifft and
Lilli Hadden each tallied a hat trick as Tifft led the team with four draw controls as well.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN FLASHES – Kent State goes into Saturday's contest with a 4-7 record as they've defeated Longwood, Saint Francis, Delaware State, and conference foe Youngstown State. The Golden Flashes are led by senior attack Jackie Wolford who leads the MAC with 38 goals scored through 11 games. Wolford also leads the MAC in shots and points per game.
CONFERENCE RECOGNITION – Midfielder
Jenna Irwin was awarded MAC Offensive Player of the Week after her stellar performances from this past weekend. Irwin led the Colonials in goals this weekend as she registered a hat trick against Canisius and Akron. Irwin came up clutch when it mattered most as she scored the game-winning goal against Akron on Sunday which capped off a great weekend for the Liverpool N.Y. native.
RUN IT BACK – Joining the Mid-American Conference in 2021, the Colonials have been making a name for themselves the past three seasons. In RMU's first season in the MAC they were crowned champions and the past two years have made the championship game but fell both times to Central Michigan.
