Opening Draw
  • The RMU women's lacrosse team is set to play in their final non-conference match against Duquesne on Tuesday night. This is the only home game this season that the Colonials will play under the lights.
  • Most recently, the Colonials dominated their MAC counterpart Youngstown State, 17-6.
  • Colleen Tifft had an incredible game against the Penguins as she posted career-highs in points (8) and goals (5). Additionally, Chelsea Coleman had five points off of four points and an assist while Jenna Irwin recorded three goals for the Colonials.
  • RMU continued to score at a rapid rate against Youngstown State as Isabella Teal had two goals along with Eliana LaMange, Samantha Brothers, and Lilli Hadden each having one goal.
  • The Colonials currently sit as the third seed in the MAC Tournament standings. RMU is trailing Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan while the Colonials lead Kent State by a half game with one conference matchup left this season.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES (DUQUESNE) – RMU hasn't shown great results in the series against the Dukes as the Colonials have a 2-10 record. RMU has won the last two matchups that took place in 2017 and 2018 while Duquesne won the previous 10 contests. This will be the first matchup between the cross-town rivals since both schools left the NEC.

SCOUTING THE DUKES – Duquesne is coming off a 12-11 win against La Salle (4/13) as the Dukes have seven wins on the year. The Dukes are undefeated against the MAC this season as they've defeated Youngstown State, Eastern Michigan, and Detroit Mercy in non-conference play. Duquesne is led by Mackenzie Leszczynski who has 41 points this season off of 29 goals and 12 assists.

RUN IT BACK – Joining the Mid-American Conference in 2021, the Colonials have been making a name for themselves the past three seasons. In RMU's first season in the MAC they were crowned champions and the past two years have made the championship game but fell both times to Central Michigan.
