INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
RMU outhit the home side, 9-3. The top of the lineup led the way offensively as Kaylyn Hopf and Anna Resnik each posted three hits. Both earned an RBI in the second inning and Hopf scored once. Meadow Sacadura and Catalina Saxen each reached home base and tallied one hit. Senior Charlotte Grover ended the game with two walks. In the circle, Jaimee Hardy started for the Colonials, going 4.2 innings and was awarded the win. She paced for two strikeouts and now owns a perfect 4-0 record. Junior Madison DeVault pitched the final 2.1 innings, collecting two strikeouts and didn't allow a single hit.

DEVAULT'S DOMINATION
Pitcher Madison DeVault once again showed success against PFW. Competing against the opposing program several times as a junior for the Colonials, DeVault achieved her second save of the year. She's now riding a streak of 11.2 straight innings without allowing a run when facing the Mastodons. DeVault holds 14 strikeouts over that stretch.

THE STREAK CONTINUES
After defeating PFW on the road, RMU has now won seven consecutive games. This is the program's longest win streak since 2005. Throughout team history, the Colonials have won eight straight on seven separate occasions. The program record belongs to the 1992 team, as that squad won 17 games in a row.

QUOTABLE
"We're very happy with our team's performance today. Hardy, DeVault and Sacadura, along with our entire defense, played terrific. To not allow a hit after the first three batters was impressive." – Head Coach Jexx Varner

"Offensively, Hopf continues to be a spark plug and a thorn in the side of the opposition. Resnik also played great. Those two at the top of our lineup set us up for many opportunities. We left some runners on base today but we stuck to our game plan. We have more in us at the plate." – Head Coach Jexx Varner

UP NEXT
RMU will look to extend their winning streak tomorrow, playing a double-header at PFW with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM.
