FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne came back to win both games in the double-header, 5-2 and 3-2. The Colonials are now 10-15 overall and 5-4 in #HLSB play. PFW now owns a 7-24 overall record and are 2-7 in conference action.
GAME 2
- The home side gathered an early 2-0 lead in the first inning.
- PFW pulled together a rally in the fourth inning, scoring three more runs, making it a 5-0 score.
- RMU fought back in the top of the sixth inning to score two runs.
- Jess Matheny singled through the right side, bringing in Charlotte Grover.
- Next up to bat, Logan Black got on base by a fielder's choice which allowed Courtney Poulich to reach home plate.
- In the end, the Colonials weren't able to climb back from the 5-0 deficit, and fell 5-2.

Logan Black led the team in hits with two each, while
Jess Matheny produced the lone RBI.
Madison DeVault started the game in the circle, pitching 3.2 innings and pacing for three strikeouts. Freshman pitcher
Kailani Tatro finished out the last 2.1 innings, registering two strikeouts.
GAME 3
- RMU started off the scoring in the series finale. At the top of the third inning, leadoff hitter Kaylyn Hopf singled to left center, giving Alaina Koutsogiani a run.
- The home side responded, tying up the game 1-1 in their next appearance on offense.
- Immediately after, heading into the fourth inning, catcher Meadow Sacadura reached on a fielding error. Avery Winchell took advantage, scoring at home plate to make it a 2-1 game.
- Purdue Fort Wayne was able to walk it off in the bottom of the seventh inning by showing good plate discipline. Upon consecutive walks, the Mastodons won the series finale, 3-2.
