MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa.  – Kam Woods' foul shots with 1.7 seconds remaining broke a 71-71 tie and gave RMU's its fifth straight victory. 73-71 over Oakland at the UPMC Events Center on Saturday afternoon. The Colonials improve to 15-7 overall and 7-4 in Horizon League play while Oakland falls to 9-13, 6-5 in the conference.  
 
1^st HALF
RMU stormed out of the gates scoring the first nine points of the contest before a 13-2 Oakland run gave them its first lead of the game at 13-11 with 11:07 to play in the 1^st half. The game would see one tie and four lead changes before the Golden Grizzlies would take a 29-22 lead at 5:47 and go into halftime ahead 35-29.
 
2^nd HALF
RMU regained the lead after a Josh Omojafo 3-pointer gave RMU a 44-42 advantage at 14:28 of the 2^nd half and the game would remain a two-possession contest for the remainder. With the game tied at 68-68, Alvaro Folgueiras hit a 3-pointer with 22.2 seconds left. That was answered by Malcolm Christie's 3-pointer with 7.7 seconds to go. On the next possession, Woods was hit on the right elbow while making a 3-point attempt. Oakland could not get a shot off as the buzzer sounded.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Amarion Dickerson finished with a team-high 17 points
• Folgueiras recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds
• Ryan Prather Jr. scored 14 points and tied his career-high with four 3-pointers
• DJ Smith scored 10 points and added six assists
• OU's Tuburu Naivalurua led all players with 23 points
• This marks the first sweep of Oakland since RMU joined the Horizon League in 2020-21
